Незабутній рік: Хор Гомін виступив на 385 концертах!

National record for the Homin Choir

The ensemble from the Lviv Organ Hall, working with TEATR ORG, has officially entered Ukraine's national record books. Their achievement was recognized in the category 'Largest concert tour in the history of Ukraine' after they performed 385 concerts at home and abroad over a one-year span. The record period ran from 1 August 2025 to 31 July 2026, and the award was presented in Kyiv on 16 August, right after a performance from the tour 'This Choir, This Choir… 2.0'.

Touring and impact

The tours were organized by TEATR ORG. The choir's popularity soared after their viral performance of Stepan Hiha's 'This Dream…,' which attracted millions of online views. During 2026, the ensemble visited 40 Ukrainian cities with a new program. The 'This Choir, This Choir…' repertoire includes works by composers such as:

  • Volodymyr Ivasyuk
  • Ihor Shamo
  • Anatoliy Kos-Anatolsky
  • Ihor Bilozir
  • Stepan Hiha

It also features partesny concert works, pieces by Mykola Leontovych, Christmas carols, and world classical repertoire.

The choir's European tour lasted nearly a month and included 35 concerts in 19 cities across 9 European countries: Poland, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, France, Austria, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. A total of 17,000 listeners attended those concerts, and together with TEATR.org.ua, the tour raised 10 million hryvnias. Part of those funds was allocated to the 12th Special Purpose Brigade 'Azov' of the National Guard of Ukraine.

In May 2026, the choir completed a concert tour of North America, raising more than 6 million hryvnias in support of Ukraine's Defense Forces. This activity reflects both the ensemble's artistic accomplishments and its significant role in charitable efforts backing Ukraine's military.

The Homin Choir's record highlights its cultural contribution to Ukrainian music and its active support for the country's armed forces during today's challenges. The milestone also demonstrates how Ukrainian art is gaining international recognition and how cultural initiatives can unite people around meaningful causes. Moments like this can strengthen a sense of national unity and solidarity in difficult times.
