The Dispute Between Igor Kondratyuk and Vitaliy Kozlovskiy

Igor Kondratyuk has transferred the rights to all his songs to Vitaliy Kozlovskiy, following the payment of outstanding fines. This move ends a conflict that spanned ten years, originating in 2012 when Kozlovskiy ended his collaboration with Kondratyuk. The legal battle involved six or seven court cases, all of which were decided in Kondratyuk's favor. Once Kozlovskiy settled all fines, the song rights were officially handed over.

Kondratyuk, who holds the rights to the show 'Karoke na Maydani', also noted that Kozlovskiy translated his songs from Russian into Ukrainian. As the producer and creator, Kondratyuk oversees the show's production and has licensed a specific number of 'Karoke na Maydani' episodes to the TET television channel.

Kondratyuk's Comments on the Conflict

In an interview with 'Glavkom', Kondratyuk shared his perspective on the dispute with Kozlovskiy. He stated:

“Will there be any issues? Why would there be, if participants choose those songs? I no longer have any connection to Kozlovskiy's songs, because I sold him all the rights I had. More precisely, after he paid all the fines.” - Igor Kondratyuk

This confirms that Kozlovskiy now has the right to use his songs in future performances.

Additionally, Kondratyuk discussed his view of the conflict, explaining that initially he tried to clarify his position, but realized the public showed little interest. “I didn't care how it affected my image in the eyes of those who didn't want to understand the situation,” he said. Kondratyuk emphasized that the conflict was straightforward: the rights belonged to him, and Kozlovskiy breached the agreements.

He also mentioned that he no longer follows Kozlovskiy, considering the matter a closed chapter in his past. “This story was tied to a professional chapter of my life,” he added, highlighting that he had produced young artists who won the 'Shans' project.

Kondratyuk also addressed Kozlovskiy's trolling and discussions around 'Liga Smikhu'. “This was a story in Ukrainian show business that everyone talked about. Let them talk. It's better than discussing Kirkorov's underwear,” he remarked.

Thus, the conflict between Igor Kondratyuk and Vitaliy Kozlovskiy has concluded with the transfer of song rights, marking a significant milestone in their professional relationship and careers.

The resolution of this dispute could influence the future trajectories of both artists. Acquiring the rights allows Kozlovskiy to freely use the songs in his work, potentially opening new opportunities for performances and projects. For Kondratyuk, it ends one of his longest legal battles, which may positively impact his reputation in the Ukrainian entertainment industry.

This resolution marks a significant turning point for both artists, especially as Kondratyuk prepares for the return of his show. For insights into his thoughts on the upcoming comeback of 'Karaoke on Maidan' and the surrounding controversies, be sure to check out his latest comments.
