Meeting of Zelensky and Modi: Important Issues

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky during a conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared the results of negotiations in Washington. He described the meeting with the President of the USA and European leaders as 'productive and important', as a shared vision towards achieving real peace was demonstrated.

Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine is ready to meet with the Russian leader, but has received no signals for such a meeting. The leaders also discussed preparations for the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit and stressed the importance of a ceasefire and establishing silence to initiate peace negotiations.

'Ukrainian cities are under attack daily, and an unconditional ceasefire is the first step towards peace,' emphasized Zelensky.

The leaders also discussed bilateral relations, preparations for mutual visits, and the possibility of organizing a personal meeting in the near future. In particular, Zelensky thanked India for its willingness to help find solutions and convey signals to Russia and other participants of the SCO summit.

During a phone call between Zelensky and Modi, important issues of cooperation and peaceful resolution of the conflict in Eastern Ukraine were discussed. Both leaders expressed their readiness for further cooperation, which is an important step towards peace and stability in the region.
