The Neo Platform Takes Shape

Bhavin Turakia, a 46-year-old entrepreneur from India, is personally funding the creation of Neo—a platform designed to compete with Microsoft Office by integrating built-in artificial intelligence tools. This all-in-one solution combines project management, document editing, file storage, and AI capabilities. The initial version of Neo was developed in just three months, and internal company testing began in April 2026.

Currently based in Bengaluru, the startup employs around 45 people, 18 of whom are engineers. Turakia aims to grow the team to 100 by year-end. Neo is initially being positioned for mid-sized companies in technology, consulting, and professional services.

A key differentiator for Neo is its independence from any single AI model provider, which could give it an edge over rivals like Microsoft, Google, Salesforce, OpenAI, Anthropic, Notion, and Superhuman. The platform is already being tested within Turakia’s own companies, including Zeta. He believes that capturing even 2–5% of the global enterprise AI market would create a business larger than all his previous ventures combined.

Past Ventures and Future Ambitions

Turakia’s track record includes founding several successful companies:

  • Directi
  • Radix
  • Titan
  • Zeta

Looking ahead, the startup plans to hire specialists in AI and software development to further refine Neo. Its initial launch targets remain technology, consulting, and professional services.

The development of Neo marks a significant move in the increasingly competitive business software market, where AI-driven innovation is becoming essential. If successful, Neo could reshape the corporate technology landscape, especially as companies seek more efficient tools for project and document management. Turakia’s strategy of recruiting top AI talent may also accelerate the platform’s evolution and market fit.
