According to AccuWeather, temperatures in Tehran will fluctuate between 39-41 degrees until the end of the week. The city of Mashhad in the northeast of the country is also expected to experience heat with temperatures reaching up to 38 degrees on Wednesday.
It is also worth noting that there was an earthquake in northern Iran with a magnitude of 5.2. The epicenter was located about 44 km northwest of the city of Shahroud, and the depth of the tremors was approximately 7 km.
The day off in Tehran was declared due to the heat to provide people with the opportunity to rest and avoid the negative effects of high temperatures. Additionally, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 occurred in the north of the country, which also caused panic among the local population.
