Analyzing Vladimir Putin's statement about the 'legal enshrinement' of non-aggression against Ukraine, analysts expressed doubts about its truthfulness.

Experts from the Institute for the Study of War believe that Putin's promise to prohibit aggression in Russian legislation is unlikely, especially considering past violations of non-invasion agreements.

'Putin's promise to enshrine Russia's commitments to prevent future aggression in Russian legislation or the Constitution of Russia is neither reliable nor a concession, and there is no evidence that Putin would adhere to any such law that prohibits further invasion of Ukraine after a peace agreement is reached.'

It is emphasized that the Russian leader has previously violated international agreements regarding non-invasion into Ukraine and has shown a willingness to change laws for his advantage, disregarding international norms.

Thus, Putin's actions indicate the incompatibility of his statements with real actions, confirming his readiness to bypass international treaties to achieve his own political goals.
