The government has supported changes to resolution No. 1320 regarding distributed energy generation. Now installations of any capacity can be set up without bureaucratic hurdles. Previously, this was restricted for installations with a capacity of less than 1 MW, complicating the situation for many facilities.

Oleksiy Kuleba emphasized the importance of these changes: 'We have removed technical barriers to the development of small generation. Now distributed generation installations can be set up in any facilities without unnecessary bureaucracy. This will help strengthen energy resilience and ensure independence from external threats.'

The introduced solutions are aimed at ensuring decentralization and increasing the resilience of life support systems in the conditions of aggression. Among other measures are a special price for gas for cogeneration installations in the conflict zone, faster grid connection, and simplifying permitting procedures for well filling.

The adopted changes will allow for a fuller use of the potential of distributed energy generation and make the country less dependent on external energy suppliers.
