Very often, young people aged 22-24, who have recently graduated from universities, have already started families and have children. Young and inexperienced specialists have to take responsibility for their lives and the lives of their families.
The Ukrainian branch of the international recruitment portal HeadhHunter researched how the younger generation assesses its opportunities in the domestic labor market.
According to statistics, among specialists aged 22-24, there are significantly more women looking for jobs than men. To be precise, 42% versus 58%, and unfortunately, most of the unemployed have no work experience. Therefore, it is the most difficult for them to find work.
Many of them might be interested in working for the company 'Nova Poshta', whose job vacancies are available on the HeadhHunter Ukraine website.
Among the popular vacancies that interest young specialists are those of secretaries, office managers, and couriers. Many wish to work as junior specialists in programming, marketing, and finance.
There is the least interest in vacancies for government positions.
Moreover, the statistics are the same for 83% of those who have no experience, as well as for the others who have tried their hand in the domestic labor market.
Most of the young unemployed specialists speak English, and only 13% do not speak a foreign language. Of those who know English, just over 10% are fluent, while half only know it at a basic level.
The average salary expectations of applicants range from 2,500 UAH to 5,300 UAH.
Statistics show a strange trend: specialists with little work experience (up to 3 years) are willing to start at a lower salary than those who are completely inexperienced.
A new category of specialists has appeared in the Ukrainian labor market: people who are trying to find jobs after demobilization and ATO participants themselves. They usually look for work as security guards, drivers, or sales managers to gain minimal experience.
It is very difficult to predict the further development of the labor market. At the beginning of 2015, it was more difficult to find a job than now. Although the economic situation in the country leaves much to be desired. A lot of specialists have already left the country, and many more plan to do so.
