The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas, expressed the opinion that the war in Ukraine may last at least another two years.
I consider it unrealistic that Russia will withdraw its troops and return with guarantees. What I see as realistic is that this war will last at least a few more years, she stated in Strasbourg before a group of Spanish journalists, as reported by La Vanguardia.
In Kallas's opinion, Trump's peace efforts have not yet yielded results, as there is pressure on Ukraine to capitulate and cede part of its territory, and what may happen if it agrees is that in two to three years Russia may continue its escalation.
Russian-Ukrainian war: a deadlock?
Kallas is not very optimistic about the war in Ukraine: she believes that there are at least two more years of conflict, writes El Pais.
The publication notes that in the 'corridors of Strasbourg' they see a deadlock in the Russian-Ukrainian war. European diplomats are concerned that Russia has become 'emboldened', as evidenced by the recent attack on Poland.
The representative of the European Union warns that the war in Ukraine may last at least another two years, considering the situation unrealistic for a quick resolution. The lack of positive results in the peaceful resolution of the conflict and new signs of Russian aggression pose a threat of further escalation.
