Kazakh President Proposes Award in Trump's Name
During the inaugural meeting of the newly established Peace Council in Washington, Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev put forward a proposal to create an award named after Donald Trump. The Peace Council's primary mission is to address international conflicts and promote global peace.
President Tokayev stated that the award would serve as a symbol recognizing Trump's significant efforts and achievements in the field of peacebuilding.
"I would like to propose establishing a special Peace Council award in President Trump's name, in recognition of his outstanding efforts and achievements in peacebuilding. I am confident, Mr. President, that under your leadership, the Peace Council will successfully fulfill its great and noble mission,"Tokayev said. This move comes as Kazakhstan seeks to bolster its role as an international mediator.
U.S. Financial Commitment to the Peace Council
In a related announcement, Donald Trump revealed that the United States would allocate $10 billion to support the Peace Council's activities.
"I want to inform you that the United States will allocate $10 billion for the activities of the Peace Council,"he emphasized. The Council plans to work closely with the United Nations, aiming to amplify its impact in resolving global issues.
This initiative highlights Kazakhstan's efforts to invigorate international dialogue on peace and stability and to strengthen its global standing as a conflict mediator. The proposal for a Trump-named award could be interpreted as an attempt to bolster his political legacy in peacebuilding, given Trump's active promotion of peaceful settlement ideas during his presidency. Concurrently, the substantial U.S. financial pledge signals a willingness to invest in global initiatives dedicated to maintaining peace, a significant commitment from a major world power.
