The Kyiv City State Administration has begun providing assistance of 20 thousand hryvnias for housing rental for those affected by missile strikes. Deputy head of KCSA Marina Honda explained the change in the approach to solving housing problems: earlier, the city authorities placed people in the housing reserve fund, but this is no longer possible, so the city will finance the rent.

Deputy head of KCSA for self-governance issues Marina Honda explained the change in the city authorities' approach to solving the housing problems of affected Kyiv residents. 'Previously, we placed socially vulnerable citizens in housing from the reserve fund. But today, such opportunities no longer exist. Therefore, the city is transitioning to financing rent,' she noted.

Assistance will be provided to Kyiv residents whose homes have become uninhabitable as a result of missile strikes on the capital. To receive assistance, the housing must be damaged or destroyed, and the owners must not have compensation for the damage caused. They must also not own any other property in Kyiv.

Required documents to receive assistance

Financial assistance will be provided for a year or until compensation is received or housing is restored. For this, it is necessary to contact the Center for Administrative Services and submit the required documents, including a certificate of uninhabitability of the housing.

The city authorities promise to promptly review applications for assistance, and district administrations have been instructed to expedite the issuance of necessary certificates for citizens.
