Targeted support for Kyiv residents
Kyiv is preparing targeted support for people who may need assistance in the event of prolonged outages of public services. The city is verifying residents who, due to age, health status, or life circumstances, may need additional help. This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration responsible for self-government powers, Marina Honda. Support will be provided both at the place of residence and in the form of temporary relocation options.
Preparation for the heating season
Kyiv is preparing for various scenarios during the heating season, including prolonged outages of electricity, heating, or water supply. As part of this preparation, over 1,300 lonely elderly individuals, around 400 children with disabilities, and 500 persons with disabilities have expressed a desire to temporarily relocate. Last winter, there were over 3,000 cases when people refused temporary relocation, even when a prepared place and transportation were available.
The city, together with district state administrations, plans to arrange places for the temporary stay of Kyiv residents. Information about the number of places and conditions of stay will be announced on the official pages of the Kyiv City State Administration.
