Heat Supply Restoration in Kyiv
Heat is gradually being restored to 32 multi-story apartment buildings in Kyiv following an attack on January 9th. The situation in the city remains severe, with over 6,000 residential buildings still without heating. City authorities continue to work on resolving the crisis, however, a subsequent attack on January 13th has exacerbated the city's electricity deficit. These strikes are part of a wider Russian campaign targeting Ukrainian energy infrastructure, particularly during the harsh winter months.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko stated that utility workers are actively working to restore heat to buildings left without supply after the assault on the capital. He also emphasized that Kyiv is facing the most difficult situation in its energy and utility sectors in all four years of the full-scale war.

Amidst the cold weather, more than 9,000 residents have utilized mobile heating and aid points set up by the State Emergency Service, highlighting the ongoing need for emergency support.
Critical Need for Heating Restoration
Restoring heat in Kyiv is critically important for ensuring livable conditions during the winter freeze. The strain on energy resources, especially after the recent attacks, underscores the urgent need for measures to stabilize the city's power infrastructure.
City authorities and utility services continue their efforts to mitigate the consequences of the attacks and provide the population with essential resources during this difficult period.
