Kyivstar Revamps 'SIM for Devices' Plan: Price Hike and Service Boost Detailed

Київстар оновлює тариф 'SIM для пристроїв': зростання цін і удосконалення сервісу.

'SIM for Devices' Plan Gets an Overhaul

Ukrainian mobile operator Kyivstar has announced a significant update to its 'SIM for Devices' tariff, with the new terms taking effect on March 1, 2026. According to the company's press service, this marks the first major revision to the service package's rules in over a decade. The changes involve both a daily subscription fee increase and an expansion of the services provided to customers.

Starting March 1, 2026, the daily fee for the 'SIM for Devices' plan will double from 1 hryvnia to 2 hryvnias. In exchange, subscribers will receive enhanced daily allowances, which now include:

  • 50 MB of internet data (up from 30 MB)
  • 50 SMS messages within Ukraine
  • 50 minutes for calls within the Kyivstar network

Access to the 'State in a Smartphone' and 'Knowledge Without Borders' services will remain free of charge. The update also extends to roaming usage, where subscribers will now receive a daily allowance of 50 MB of data, 50 SMS, and 50 minutes for all incoming calls. These roaming limits are shared with the domestic allowances, while outgoing calls made abroad will be charged at a rate of 1 hryvnia per minute.

Discounts on 'ALL TOGETHER' Bundled Plans

In addition to the 'SIM for Devices' update, Kyivstar has introduced promotional discounts for new home internet subscribers on its bundled 'ALL TOGETHER' tariff plans. These discounted rates will be valid for the first three months of service. The 'ALL TOGETHER Advantage' package will cost 200 hryvnias instead of 250, the 'ALL TOGETHER Light' tariff will be 200 hryvnias instead of 450, and the 'ALL TOGETHER Premium' plan will be available for 200 hryvnias, down from its base price of 550 hryvnias.

These tariff adjustments by Kyivstar reflect the company's efforts to adapt to evolving user demands and a competitive telecommunications market. The move to increase service volumes alongside the subscription fee may be a strategy to maintain competitiveness against other operators who are also constantly refining their offerings. The bundled plan discounts for new customers are likely aimed at stimulating subscriber growth, particularly in the highly competitive home internet segment. For context, Kyivstar is one of Ukraine's largest mobile operators, and such tariff restructurings are common as networks upgrade their infrastructure and service portfolios.
