“Some cities in Ukraine go a day without electricity. I think the number of strikes will increase, especially from October 10. There are significant threats across Ukraine, including for our community,” the mayor stated.
Preparation for possible outages
Ruslan Marcinkiv called on residents to remain vigilant, to respond to air raid alerts, and to move to shelters.

He emphasized the necessity to prepare in advance for possible power supply interruptions, despite hopes that outages would not occur.
It should be reminded that in Irpin, Mykhailivka-Rubezhivka, and Zabuchchya, planned power outages are possible on Friday, October 3, due to preventive works. Electricity will not be available on several streets from 6 AM to evening.
Consequences of previous attacks
By the way, after the enemy's attack on the Kyiv region on September 28, three injured individuals - two adults and a child - remain in hospitals, all in stable condition. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Mykola Kalashnyk, as reported by 'Glavcom'
According to Kalashnyk, work in Petropavlivska Borshchahivka, which was hit the hardest, continues. Additional police shifts and community patrols stood guard at damaged apartments during the night. He reported that DTEK crews have already restored electricity supply, and apartment connections continue.
After the warning from the mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk about possible power outages and the threat of Russian strikes on critical infrastructure, residents are to be prepared for potential interruptions and to respond to air raid alerts. Restoration work on electricity supply continues after attacks on Kyiv region and has already yielded positive results.
