Fruit cocktails are among the most popular of all alcoholic mixes. They are moderately sweet, refreshing, and understandable even to someone without special knowledge and experience in bartending. Although it is easiest to order them or make them yourself during the summer, they are still sold all year round: in bars, restaurants, and small cafes.
If desired, you can find a place with good ingredients and learn to prepare your favorite drinks at home. We will tell you about the most delicious combinations in this material. Some of them are made with liqueurs and tinctures (such as Becherovka, orange liqueur), strong drinks, fruit juices, and purees. Most recipes will require fresh fruits, berries, purees, and syrups: they are added to the drink itself or used to decorate the glass.
Czech sbiten
Let's start with the perfect warming drink for the autumn. It is moderately strong, citrusy, and rich. To prepare it, you will need:
- 40 ml of Becherovka tincture;
- 15 ml of lemon juice;
- 20 ml of sugar syrup;
- 10 ml of natural orange juice;
- 100 ml of still mineral water;
- 30 g of fresh orange.
In a small saucepan, pour in the lemon and orange juice, syrup, and Becherovka. Add water and heat the mixture over low heat, without bringing it to a boil. Let the drink cool for just a couple of minutes and pour it into a tall glass with a handle. Before serving, garnish with a slice of fresh orange on a cocktail skewer.
Apple martini
A strong, rich drink that is just made for apple season. In this recipe, we suggest using green varieties. To prepare, you will need:
- 15 ml of dry London gin;
- 25 ml of dry vermouth;
- 40 ml of green apple liqueur;
- 60 g of fresh apple;
- ice cubes.
In a mixing container, stir the gin, vermouth, and liqueur with ice cubes. Pour the prepared mixture into a chilled martini glass, straining it through a strainer. Cut the apple into thin wedges and garnish the glass before serving.
Moulin Rouge
In this cocktail, fruit and berry components mix together, creating a unique rich taste and aroma. To prepare, you will need:
- 10 ml of calvados;
- 75 ml of prosecco;
- 50 g of lychee puree;
- 30 g of raspberry puree;
- 10 g of fresh raspberries;
- ice cubes.
In a separate container, mix the two types of puree, then add the calvados and prosecco. Add ice cubes and gently stir with a spoon. Chill a champagne flute glass in advance. Pour the prepared mixture into it, straining through a strainer. Skewer a couple of fresh raspberry berries on a cocktail skewer and garnish the drink before serving.
