Allegations Against Politician Sergey Levochkin by Ex-Partner

Artist Zinaida Kubar, the former common-law wife of Ukrainian MP Sergey Levochkin, has filed a report with the National Police of Ukraine, accusing him of threats and harassment. This case highlights the personal and political tensions that can arise in Ukraine's public sphere. In her statement, Kubar also expressed concern over Levochkin's stated views on Ukraine, its language, and culture.

Kubar, who noted she was born into a Russian-speaking family but consciously switched to Ukrainian, claims Levochkin has expressed opinions that the war is artificially created and that Ukraine and Russia are brotherly nations. She cited several of his alleged statements, including that 'your language... It's specifically yours. ...such a language never existed,' which she found deeply troubling.

Alleged Coercive Behavior in the Relationship

Zinaida Kubar further shared her distress about the dynamics of their relationship, stating:

'He wants to bring me to my knees, to corner me so that I find myself in difficulty. Then he would come with help and say it was all for my own good, offering his assistance.' - Zinaida Kubar

These remarks point to significant tension in their past relationship and Kubar's fears regarding Levochkin's potential actions.

The situation between Zinaida Kubar and Sergey Levochkin continues to draw public attention, as the accusations against the politician touch upon not only personal disputes but also cultural and linguistic divisions within Ukraine.

This incident could have serious repercussions for both parties, as Kubar's allegations challenge the reputation of Levochkin, a well-known political figure. The public may be concerned not just with the personal conflict, but with broader issues of national identity, language policy, and cultural rifts, which could influence public opinion and the political climate in the country.
