Financial Claims by Rozalia Romanova Against Olya Polyakova
Rozalia Romanova, a former producer also known as Irina Kovalska, has publicly stated that popular singer Olya Polyakova owes her money. The claims involve an unpaid debt for video tapes and the terms of an early termination of their production contract.
Romanova, who was Polyakova's producer under a five-year contract, sold the singer 30 video tapes for $900 around 2014 or 2015, at a rate of $30 per tape. Polyakova paid only $300, leaving a $600 debt.
"She gave me $300, saying that was all the money she had at the time. I gave her the tapes, but Olya still owes me that $600," Romanova stated.
Contract Termination and Subsequent Actions
Following the early termination of their contract, Romanova received $25,000 from Polyakova's husband, businessman Vadim Buryakovsky. Romanova added that during a difficult period concerning her mother's health, she appealed to Polyakova to repay the debt.
"I wrote to her, saying, 'Olya, I really need the money for my mother right now, please pay back the debt.' She read the message and did not respond," Romanova reported.
Romanova explained that the contract was designed to fund investments in the artist, covering resources, time, equipment, production, filming, recording, and promotion. The contract stipulated that if it were terminated prematurely, the artist was obligated to repay the invested funds. "This was standard, logical practice for production work," Romanova emphasized.
