A former serviceman has been detained in Ukraine for creating a plan for illegal border crossing. The man organized this scheme during martial law, trying to gain material benefit.
The investigation established that from July to September 2025, the suspect deliberately developed a plan for the illegal transportation of conscripted men abroad.
According to information received via the Telegram messenger, he offered three possibilities for illegal border crossing at different prices. The offender was detained for receiving an illegal benefit of 7000 USD, and the bribe item was seized. The man was placed under house arrest.
Legal consequences
Under this article of the law, the former serviceman faces a prison sentence of seven to nine years with deprivation of certain rights for up to three years, as well as confiscation of property.
The Ukrainian specialized prosecutor's office uncovered the scheme for illegal border crossing organized by the former serviceman. He offered various transportation options for high sums of money under martial law. The perpetrator was detained, and he faces serious consequences for his actions under Ukrainian legislation.
