"For us, as one of the leading Ukrainian media companies, it is important to provide the international community with access to real facts and events in Ukraine, Russia, and the CIS countries. Unfortunately, recently we have witnessed a wide-ranging information war from the state media of Russia. We believe we can respond to this with objective information built on the principles of the civilized world - with all points of view, without lies and distortions. Ukraine Today - our contribution to supporting Ukraine’s European choice," comments Oleksandr Tkachenko, General Director of 1+1 Media.

Tatiana Pushnova has been appointed the channel's General Producer, who has held the position of Chief Editor of TSN since September 2011.

In time, an expansion of the editorial team is planned, as well as launching broadcasts in Russian.

The channel will be free and available via the Hotbird satellite in Europe this year and starting next year in the United States. Besides Ukrainians, citizens from EU countries will also work in the editorial office.

Let’s remember that there is a television channel in Russia called Russia Today, which is considered a mouthpiece of Russian propaganda abroad.
