Meeting of the Commander of the Ukrainian Navy with NATO Advisors

The Commander of the Ukrainian Naval Forces, Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa, met with NATO advisors on maritime capability development Hans Helseth and air capability development Patrick Carpentier.

This was reported by the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

'He spoke about the security situation at sea, the specifics of enemy actions, and the current challenges facing our forces. They discussed the application of the latest combat experience that the Navy units have gained during the war,' Neizhpapa noted.

The Commander of the Navy emphasized the importance of uniting efforts to counter the shadow fleet of Russia, which poses a threat to the maritime infrastructure of European countries and shipping in general.

'He noted the fruitful and long-lasting cooperation between the Ukrainian Navy and NATO. He expressed gratitude to the North Atlantic Alliance for its ongoing support of Ukraine in the fight against the Russian aggressor,' Neizhpapa stated.

A comprehensive and substantial exchange of views between the Commander of the Ukrainian Navy and NATO advisors indicates the importance of cooperation between Ukraine and its allies to strengthen security in the region and counter threats from the Russian fleet.
