The commander of the 47th separate mechanized brigade, Alexander Shirshin, decided to leave his position after a conflict with the command over their 'bad tasks' in Kharkiv. He wrote about this in his post on Facebook.

Officially no longer a combatant. The time has come to leave my battalion. My fighters, with whom we went through a difficult path, with whom we 'grew' and learned to fight. Every meaningful experience endured, even the difficult and unpleasant ones, can and should become a tool for achieving our goals. I know that my fighters are capable of applying this tool. I believe that they have the strength and perseverance to continue this difficult work and achieve success. I had the honor to serve here shoulder to shoulder with incredibly worthy people. I am proud of each of them.

Furthermore, Shirshin added: 'While someone is literally counting the nails at the battalion's disposal, looking for a reason for yet another investigation, we will continue to move that world, standing before another uncertainty, but with an understanding of our duty and a great dream of a strong and independent Ukraine.'

Conflict with the command

In his previous message, Shirshin criticized the command for 'bad tasks' in Kharkiv, which prompted a response from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Initially, he expressed hope that the children of the command would also be in the infantry and execute their assignments. In response, Syrskii noted that he was ready to transfer Shirshin wherever he wished but did not understand why conflicts were being resolved through social media.
