Suspect Charged with Rape and Production of Child Sexual Abuse Material
A 25-year-old man has been formally charged by the Kryvyi Rih Central District Prosecutor's Office with the rape of a minor and the production of child sexual abuse material. The alleged crimes occurred between July and December 2025. The victim is the suspect's nine-year-old sister-in-law. According to the investigation, the man recorded his actions on a mobile phone.
The crime came to light after an acquaintance of the suspect discovered the videos on a laptop. Law enforcement subsequently detained the man under Article 208 of Ukraine's Criminal Procedure Code. A court has already ordered him to be held in custody without the option of bail.
A Pattern of Related Criminal Cases
This case emerges amidst a series of other criminal proceedings in Ukraine concerning the production of child sexual abuse material and the sexual assault of minors. Notably, a 57-year-old man in Kyiv will stand trial for similar crimes against three girls, aged 8 and two aged 12.
