Energy expert Viktor Kurtev expressed his thoughts on the situation in the Ukrainian energy system, which, in his opinion, is complicated by constant attacks from Russia, but he believes that Ukraine will be able to overcome it. The expert emphasized that the country is actively waging war and has chosen an asymmetrical response strategy to preserve its statehood, despite possible mistakes in preparing to defend energy facilities.
According to Kurtev himself: 'Yes, we will be forced to pay for our mistakes... it is painful, but we will endure. And energy will endure.'
The expert also explained that Ukraine's strategy in asymmetrical warfare includes a variety of measures, from using drones to create 'kill zones' to destroying Russian oil infrastructure and blocking the enemy's airport operations. Despite the losses, the strategy chosen by Ukraine is the only possible way to preserve the statehood of the country.
