Lely45 Joins the 'Frontline Studio' Project

Ukrainian singer Lely45, whose real name is Lyudmyla Bilousova, has participated in the 'Frontline Studio' initiative. As part of this project, she recorded a song titled 'У смерті плани' ('Plans in Death') for the 36th Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilinsky. Her involvement included a visit to the brigade's forward positions, a key component of the experience.

The Artist's Immersive Experience

During her visit, Lely45 learned about the brigade's history and participated in hands-on activities, including simulated amphibious landings, weapons firing, and operating a tank and a Mavic drone. She also met with the brigade's unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) unit, commanded by an officer with the call sign 'Vodolaz' ('Diver').

Our role is to provide whatever they request. They are the ones who discover new methods, train themselves, and propose solutions. We strive to supply their needs—from drones to ground control stations.

The 'Frontline Studio' project is part of the broader 'Cultural Forces' platform. The first season of this project, which launched on November 11, also featured other Ukrainian artists:

  • Musician Sasha Chemerov
  • Rapper Honya

Participants in that initial season visited the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Konstanty Ostrogski and announced a track called 'Божою милістю' ('By the Grace of God'). Additionally, folklorist and singer Yulia Yurina joined 'Frontline Studio' by writing a song for the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Offensive.

Therefore, Lely45's contribution went beyond recording a song for the marines; she actively engaged with and supported the troops by gaining firsthand insight into their service and conditions. Projects like 'Frontline Studio' highlight the role of culture in sustaining Ukrainian soldiers, using music and creativity to bolster morale. Such initiatives demonstrate how artistic engagement can provide crucial emotional and informational support to military personnel during conflict.
