Elimination of Russian Occupiers
During the night of June 16-17, three Russian occupiers—Alexander Apevalov, Georgy Kamalov, and Chingiz Dodiev—were eliminated. Alexander Apevalov, a Master of Sports of Russia, was a well-known figure in the sporting community. He achieved victories in all-Russian tournaments and also served as a referee and event organizer. Apevalov founded and led the Arm Wrestling Federation of the Voronezh Region in Russia. His vehicle was struck by a drone during the operation.
Georgy Kamalov, aged 46, was also killed. He played for the football team Era Vladivostok from 2003 to 2011. After ending his playing career due to an injury, Kamalov transitioned into coaching, starting within the Era system. In recent years, he worked with the football club Anri, guiding it to the level of the Russian Cup.
Ukraine’s Efforts Against Aggression
Ukraine’s Armed Forces also eliminated another occupier, Chingiz Dodiev, who was born on December 1, 1993, in the village of Baragkhan, Kurumkansky District, Republic of Buryatia. These killings are part of Ukraine’s broader campaign to counter Russian aggression.
These events underscore the prolonged and intense nature of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, highlighting potential consequences for Russian military personnel and their allies. The elimination of individuals who held certain statuses in their home country could impact the morale of Russian troops and the public.
