Aid Delivered in Kostiantynivka
An elderly resident of Kostiantynivka reached out to Ukrainian soldiers for help by writing a message in the snow. The plea was answered by a serviceman from the 'Phoenix' unit, 19-year-old Maksym, call sign 'Maluk' (Kid), who used a drone to deliver bread to her.
The woman directed her message specifically to Ukrainian defenders, not Russian forces, asking for assistance. Maksym explained that after seeing her request, he was sent the necessary supplies for an airdrop.
"I dropped a loaf of bread to the grandmother. One item was bread, the other was cookies," the soldier recounted.
He also stressed the importance of such acts of support:
"Whenever I see messages like this, I will respond to them. These are our people, and we are obligated to help them. They are the reason we are here," Maksym stated.
Supporting the Civilian Population
Against the backdrop of this incident, Ivan Tymochko, head of the Land Forces Reserve Council of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported a buildup of Russian troops, warning that occupiers could turn Kostiantynivka into ruins. This story highlights the harsh reality for civilians in frontline towns, where access to basic supplies is often cut off. Thus, amid rising tensions, supporting the civilian population remains a priority for Ukrainian military personnel.
