The Impact of Speech Defect and Difficult Circumstances on Lutsenko's Personality
Former Minister of Internal Affairs Yuriy Lutsenko shared that a speech defect in childhood and difficult family conditions significantly influenced his development as a personality. In his interview with Slava Dyomin, he noted that his lisp accompanied him for many years, until he graduated from university.
Lutsenko claims that in childhood there was not enough attention for correcting his speech defect due to his parents' work commitments. As a result, he had to cook for himself from the fifth grade. This fact negatively affected Lutsenko's psyche later on.
“I was overlooked, and in adulthood this affected my psyche even more,” the politician admitted.
At the same time, lacking bright external data or musical abilities, Yuriy Lutsenko actively developed through books, intellect, humor, and openness, which became his advantage later in life.
In September 2023, after demobilization, Lutsenko traveled abroad for a medical examination and treatment in Germany, following an oncological surgery, after which he was left with only a third of his pancreas.
