National Cashback Program: Expanding Benefits for Ukrainians
Payouts under the National Cashback program for March have begun, with nearly 4.8 million participants set to receive funds. For the first time, these payments will include fuel cashback, a new addition to the initiative. Over 2 million people have already used the fuel cashback option. Among them, 91% are owners of budget-friendly cars aged 10 to 20 years, with engines up to 2.5 liters in displacement.
The Cabinet of Ministers has extended the fuel cashback program until May 31, 2026. Each user can receive up to 500 hryvnias per month in compensation. A total of 219 gas station operators have joined the program.
The Ministry of Economy noted: 'For the first time, along with this payout, Ukrainians will also receive fuel cashback. Over 2 million people have already used the program. Among them, 91% are owners of budget cars aged 10-20 years with an engine displacement of up to 2.5 liters.'
How to Use the Funds and Join the Program
Recipients of the cashback can spend the money on:
- utility bills;
- postal services;
- purchasing Ukrainian-made food products;
- buying Ukrainian-made medical supplies or medications;
- acquiring books or other printed materials;
- making charitable donations, including support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Anyone can participate in the National Cashback program. To do so, open a payout card at a partner bank, designate cards for purchases, and authorize the bank to share transaction data from those cards. In the Diia app, under the Services section, you can select a payout card from any partner bank.
This program plays a crucial role in supporting the population amid economic challenges, particularly rising fuel and goods prices. It not only provides financial relief but also boosts domestic production by encouraging the purchase of local goods. Extending the program through 2026 underscores the government's commitment to aiding citizens during tough times and promoting Ukrainian-made products.
