Drone Deliveries Through the DOT-Chain Defence Platform

Ukrainian military units have received 485,000 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and other equipment through the DOT-Chain Defence platform. The total value of these deliveries has reached 31.4 billion hryvnias. These developments are taking place in 2026, with DOT-Chain Defence—developed by the DOT Defense Procurement Agency—emerging as a key tool for equipping Ukraine’s armed forces. This online marketplace is designed to streamline the procurement process for military supplies, addressing urgent battlefield needs.

The DOT-Chain Defence marketplace currently lists nearly 800 product items from over 200 Ukrainian manufacturers. The average time from order placement to equipment delivery is just 9 days, highlighting the platform’s speed and operational efficiency. DOT-Chain Defence is integrated with Brave1 Market, enabling military personnel to order not only drones but also equipment, ammunition, and payloads for unmanned systems.

Advance Payment Mechanisms and Operational Principles

The DOT Defense Procurement Agency, at the initiative of the Ministry of Defense, has introduced an advance payment mechanism for manufacturers. This has helped boost the supply of fiber-optic FPV drones, heavy bombers, reconnaissance wings, as well as mid-strike and deep-strike drones, Mavic units, light bombers, and Shahed interceptors during the first four months of the year.

The platform operates on the principle:

“the military chooses—the state provides”
. The agency handles contracts, payments, and logistics, eliminating paperwork and lengthy approval processes. As agency representatives note,
“following the President’s directive, we continue to rapidly transform the army’s supply system”
.

The advancement of the DOT-Chain Defence platform represents a significant step in strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities, especially in the face of modern challenges. The speed and efficiency of these procurements can greatly impact troop readiness for mission execution. The growing volume of deliveries and the expanding range of equipment reflect active collaboration between the state and domestic manufacturers, which is likely to have a positive effect on the country’s defense industry.

As the Ukrainian military continues to enhance its capabilities through the DOT-Chain Defence platform, the recent delivery of equipment to specialized 'Drone Lines' units marks another significant advancement in the country's defense procurement efforts. This new system not only facilitates timely access to essential technology but also underscores the commitment to modernize military operations.
