Масштабні обстріли Києва 27 грудня: 19 постраждалих та руйнування у семи районах столиці.

Massive strikes on Kyiv on December 27

On December 27, Russian troops launched massive strikes on Kyiv and the region, leading to fires, destruction, and casualties. According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, 19 people were injured as a result of the shelling, of which 11 were hospitalized.

Consequences of the attacks in different districts

According to preliminary data, residents of seven districts of the capital felt the consequences of the attacks:

  • In the Holosiivskyi district, three vehicles caught fire at a service station due to shelling.
  • In the Obolonskyi district, a fire broke out in a three-story private residential building.
  • In the Darnytskyi district, the 24th and technical floors of one of the buildings were destroyed, and a fire occurred in a neighboring building. During the elimination of the consequences of the shelling in the Darnytskyi district, ten people were evacuated from a nursing home.
  • Fires also broke out in the Dniprovskyi district: on the first and second floors of a 25-story building and in an 18-story residential building, where search and rescue operations are underway.
  • In the Solomianskyi district, a strike hit the dormitory of the National Aviation University, located on the 9th floor.
  • In the Desnianskyi district, a 9-story building was damaged on the first floor level, and in the Shevchenkivskyi district, a fire occurred on the 10th floor of a residential building.

According to Vitali Klitschko, a total of 2,600 residential buildings, 187 kindergartens, 138 schools, and 22 social institutions were left without centralized heating. In addition, a Renault dealership caught fire in Bila Tserkva after a drone strike.

The rector of the National Aviation University, Ksenia Semenova, confirmed the fact of the dormitory being hit.

Vitali Klitschko noted that energy workers and utility workers are working to restore energy and heating supply.

These attacks occur against the backdrop of Ukraine's ongoing efforts to restore infrastructure after previous shelling. The mass strikes on civilian objects, particularly residential buildings and social institutions, underscore the seriousness of the threat to the civilian population. The Kyiv authorities continue to work on restoring the affected infrastructure, but the scale of destruction requires significant effort and resources. The situation remains tense, as terrorist attacks may continue, threatening the lives of hundreds of people.
