Великі проблеми з електропостачанням у Запоріжжі: як це вплинуло на водопостачання та зв'язок.

Massive blackout in Zaporizhzhia

A massive blackout occurred in Zaporizhzhia and the region due to shelling by Russian occupiers, leading to a power outage for a significant part of the region. As a result of the attacks, the energy infrastructure was damaged, causing the majority of consumers in Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions to remain without electricity.

As of January 7

As of January 7, 166 out of 175 resilience points were operational in Zaporizhzhia. Mobile communication in the region is functioning in emergency mode, and the battery resources will last for up to 8 hours. Water supply is gradually being restored, and almost all areas are already supplied with water. However, air raid sirens are not operational in the city, which may complicate response to further threats.

Emergency services are currently operating in an enhanced mode. The Ministry of Energy announced that the damage assessment will begin after the security situation improves. At the same time, Ukrzaliznytsia is responding promptly to the massive power outages in Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions by switching all trains in the region to reserve thermal traction.

The situation remains complicated, and local authorities are working to restore stability in the region.

This blackout highlights the vulnerability of Ukraine's energy infrastructure in wartime. The damage caused by shelling complicates not only the daily lives of civilians but also poses serious challenges for emergency services and other critical systems. It is important for local authorities and energy companies to act swiftly to restore power supply and ensure the safety of the population.
