Ceuta’s migrant crisis
On Monday, August 3, Juan Jesús Vivas, the mayor of the Spanish city of Ceuta, reported that between 3,000 and 5,000 migrants who arrived from Morocco remain in the city. “These torments, this fear, and this feeling of helplessness and horror felt by Ceuta’s residents continue to leave their mark on our collective consciousness.”
