Програма фінансової підтримки надає 10,800 гривень мешканцям громади Сосниця.

Acted Launches Cash Assistance Program

The French humanitarian organization Acted is launching a cash assistance initiative for residents of the Sosnytsia community in the Chernihiv region. This program, which will run until the end of March 2026, aims to support vulnerable population groups. The total aid amount is 10,800 hryvnias per family member, distributed as a one-time payment over three months at 3,600 hryvnias per month. This initiative is part of broader international efforts to provide direct financial support to Ukrainians affected by the ongoing war.

Eligibility Requirements for the Program

To qualify, applicants must belong to a vulnerable category and complete a preliminary registration. The vulnerability criteria include:

  • Families with three or more children under 18,
  • Households with infants under two years old,
  • Families with pregnant women,
  • Individuals with first or second category disabilities,
  • People with chronic illnesses,
  • Individuals with limited mobility requiring care,
  • Pensioners over 60 years of age,
  • Single parents,
  • Families impacted by shelling (with destroyed homes, injuries, or fatalities).

According to Acted's official announcement, meeting these criteria is mandatory for participation but does not guarantee receipt of aid. The program is designed to target those in the greatest need within the community.

Preliminary registration for assistance is being conducted by phone at: +38(067)1311002, +38(063)4535710, +38(095)2852984. Phone lines are open on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Separately, the Ukrainian government has extended the mandatory identification deadline for internally displaced persons until July 1. This cash assistance is expected to provide crucial relief for many families facing severe hardship.

The launch of Acted's program represents a significant step in supporting vulnerable groups suffering from the socio-economic consequences of the conflict in Ukraine. By providing direct financial aid, the initiative can help alleviate the burden on struggling households and aid in their recovery. Effective registration and clear vulnerability targeting are key to ensuring the support reaches those who need it most.
