Metinvest invested 28 billion UAH after February 24: how the company changed management

Металургійний гігант інвестував 28 мільярдів гривень після 24 лютого: які зміни відбулися в управлінні компанії.

Investments and management approaches of 'Metinvest'

The company 'Metinvest' has invested more than 28 billion UAH since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine on February 24, 2022. The key management approaches of the company have been decentralization and flexibility. Director Tetiana Petruk spoke about changes in management, the company's investments, and support for staff.

'Rest and recovery must become the foundation for maintaining the motivation and performance of teams,' noted Tetiana Petruk.

The company 'Metinvest', owned by Rinat Akhmetov, actively supports its employees, including veterans and engineering students. It is known that the company is the best employer for these categories of workers. Currently, 'Metinvest' accounts for almost a third of veterans who have returned to work in large businesses. The company already has a personnel support system in place, including reintegration programs for veterans.

Future plans and initiatives

Petruk emphasized that in the conditions of prolonged war, teams are emotionally and physically exhausted. In 2025, 'Metinvest' plans to reduce excessive reporting to focus on more important aspects of management. In 2026, the company aims to provide employees with more time for recovery.

The company is also implementing the Steel Force initiative aimed at preparing a new generation of specialists, which is an important step in ensuring the future of the enterprise. 'We take into account the real availability of specialists when planning production, investing in training, adaptation, and support for staff,' summarized Tetiana Petruk.

Such changes in management and investment activities reflect 'Metinvest's' desire to adapt to new challenges and ensure stability in difficult conditions.

The investment activity of 'Metinvest' during the war reflects not only economic but also social aspects, considering the needs of employees and their reintegration into the working process. Support for veterans and young specialists demonstrates the company's responsibility to society, as well as its desire for development in conditions of uncertainty. These initiatives can become the basis for the recovery of the country's economy in the future, which is important for the region's stability.
