There can be no 'normal relations' with the aggressor country, the Russian Federation.
The West will continue to tighten sanctions against the Russian Federation as long as Russian aggression against Ukraine and violations of international law continue. This was stated by Germany's Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock in an interview with the Romanian portal Digi24.
'We must clearly recognize: there can be no normal relations with this Russia,' she said.
According to Baerbock, Germany 'wants to see a peaceful and democratic Russia that does not pose a threat to its neighbors.'
'But let us not harbor illusions - we live in a different reality. That is why our task must be to strengthen our common security against Russia on a permanent basis,' the minister stated.

The West will continue to tighten sanctions against Russia as long as the 'brutal aggressive war and violations of international law' continue, as 'Ukraine is also defending the freedom of Europe,' Baerbock said.
Support in terms of weapons, humanitarian and financial aid will be provided to Ukraine as long as needed, she stated.
In the Bundestag, Russian President Vladimir Putin was labeled a war criminal and terrorist.
Last week, Germany announced the delivery of another military aid to Ukraine. They transferred Gepard anti-aircraft systems.
