The Ministry of Economy is preparing to approve a draft of the new Labor Code. During the presentation of the employment strategy for the population until 2030, the government team discussed approaches to updating labor legislation. The completion of work on the new code, developed in collaboration with social partners and international experts, has been announced.

The updated Labor Code provides for the digitization of procedures, a transparent mechanism for determining the minimum wage, an expanded list of labor contracts, and enhanced protection for workers. The document ensures a balance between the rights of workers and employers, takes into account risks, and implements EU directives in the field of labor.

Key advantages of the project

Among the advantages of the new code are clear rules for flexible forms of employment, strengthened protection for workers with disabilities and family obligations, unified requirements for working conditions in electronic form, and predictable procedures for employers.

The project also emphasizes preventing undeclared work, regulating new forms of employment, and simplifying the interaction between businesses and regulatory authorities.
