The Ukrainian military operator has received the international certificate ISO 37001:2016. The 'State Supply Operator' of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has become the first organization in the security and defense sector of Ukraine to receive the ISO 37001:2016 international certificate for anti-corruption management systems.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the Canadian company MSECB conducted an independent audit and officially confirmed that the anti-corruption management system of the Supply Operator meets international standards and is effective.
This is a historic event for the defense sector of Ukraine - for the first time, an institution in the field of security and defense has achieved such a level of transparency and compliance with global anti-corruption practices. The Supply Operator has joined the exclusive group of eight Ukrainian organizations that hold this prestigious certificate and has been included in the international register of certified ISO organizations.
During the audit, experts thoroughly inspected the entire anti-corruption infrastructure and compliance mechanisms of the Supply Operator. The assessment included procedures for checking business partners, the conflict of interest management system, mechanisms for verifying the integrity of staff, methods for assessing corruption risks, whistleblower protection policies, and internal audit systems.
Significance of obtaining the certificate
Obtaining the ISO 37001:2016 certificate has practical significance for international cooperation. Many foreign partners require a certified compliance system as a prerequisite for initiating cooperation.
For Ukraine, this step means strengthening the trust of international partners, especially in the context of military-technical assistance, and creating the conditions for expanding cooperation in the area of logistics support for the Armed Forces.
