Frontline Food Supply Inspection Underway
Ukraine's Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces have launched an audit of food deliveries to the frontline, uncovering shortages in several military units. Specifically, supply issues have been identified in:
- The 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade (30 OMBr)
- The 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade (128 OGShBr)
- The 108th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade (108 OBr TrO)
Commanders of these brigades have been ordered to resolve the supply problems by May 20.
Crisis in the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade
Serious provisioning failures were also found in the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade. Following a preliminary review, the brigade's commander has been removed from his post. A ground forces commission is now analyzing the situation on site. Reports indicate that soldiers from the 14th OMBr were forced to drink rainwater and fainted from hunger. Anastasia S., the wife of one serviceman, stated that her husband has been fighting since February 26, 2022, and has spent nine consecutive months on the frontlines. Other troops from the same brigade have been deployed for 9, 10, and even 12 months without rotation.
General Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has issued an order for a full inspection of troop provisions at the front, with a deadline of May 20. The Ministry of Defense stressed that 'cases of insufficient food supply to remote positions in the 30 OMBr, 128 OGShBr, and 108 OBr TrO must not become systemic.'

The ministry further warned that 'distorted reports on the combat situation will lead to direct negative consequences for responsible officials.' Additionally, the General Staff announced the dismissal and demotion of the commander of the 10th Army Corps.
