Over 500 TCC Liaisons Deployed to Civilian Hospitals as Ukraine Launches New Social Support System for Troops

Більше 500 координаторів ТЦК залучені до цивільних лікарень в Україні в рамках нової системи соціальної підтримки військових.

Updated Social Support Mechanism Goes Live

Ukraine's Ministry of Defense has rolled out a revamped social support framework for service members undergoing treatment or rehabilitation in civilian healthcare facilities. This initiative stems from interagency cooperation and a Cabinet of Ministers resolution passed in early April. By the end of that month, more than 500 specialists from Territorial Centers for Recruitment and Social Support (TCC and SP) had been officially assigned to state and municipal hospitals based on geographic coverage.

Why the Change Was Needed

The previous support model suffered from logistical shortcomings. Soldiers from a single brigade often find themselves scattered across dozens of medical institutions simultaneously, making it physically impossible for one unit's support team to reach everyone. As Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Yevhen Moysiuk, explained:

'TCC and SP representatives in every region are becoming an effective and reliable link between the service member and their unit.'

The next phase will introduce dedicated mobile phone numbers for each medical facility, streamlining communication between troops and hospitals. This redesigned social support system aims to create more effective assistance for military personnel during their recovery.

The launch of this updated support mechanism reflects the state's commitment to improving medical care and better integrating service members into the civilian healthcare system. It also highlights the importance of interagency cooperation and adapting to the needs of troops in treatment, which can positively impact their recovery and eventual return to duty.

As the Ukrainian military continues to enhance support systems for its personnel, recent reforms have also focused on optimizing the transfer and logistics of troops. This effort is crucial for maintaining efficiency and readiness within the armed forces.
