Meeting in Moscow: Discussion of the US Peace Plan

A meeting was held in Moscow to discuss the 'peace plan' of the USA, brought by Steve Vitkoff. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke in the Federation Council, stating that the plan requires ensuring the rights of national and religious minorities in Ukraine. Lavrov emphasized the importance of this condition for achieving peace.

Documents related to the 'settlement' are confidential, but it is known that on December 2, a meeting took place in Moscow involving representatives from the USA and Russia to discuss the peace plan. Within the framework of this meeting, Russian President Vladimir Putin also met with representatives of Donald Trump's administration, specifically with Steve Vitkoff and Jared Kushner. Lavrov pointed out that there is currently no compromise variant of the plan concerning Ukraine.

“Ensure the rights of national and religious minorities in Ukraine,” said Sergey Lavrov.

He also added that “US President Donald Trump is the only Western leader who has begun to understand the root causes that made the war in Ukraine inevitable.” These statements indicate the continuation of complex negotiations and the search for ways to peacefully resolve the conflict in Ukraine.

Diplomatic Efforts in the Context of the Conflict

The meeting in Moscow and the discussion of the US peace plan indicate an intensification of diplomatic efforts in the context of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The positions of the parties remain complicated, and despite progress in negotiations, a compromise has not yet been reached. The importance of ensuring the rights of national and religious minorities in Ukraine emphasizes the significance of socio-political aspects in the process of peaceful resolution.
