Today, December 5, Ukraine celebrates International Volunteer Day. This holiday represents dedication and assistance from people willing to give their time and energy to support others. One such volunteer is Yulia Dolhanyuk, an employee of the DHS in Mykolaiv region, who provides assistance to military personnel, civilians, and animals.
Yulia Dolhanyuk works in the Migration Service of Mykolaiv region and has been actively helping Ukrainian citizens since February 2022. She organizes the collection and delivery of various necessities for the military, coordinates the work of volunteers, and offers support to those in need.
Currently, Yulia dedicates her time and efforts to helping homeless and injured animals. She assists shelters by providing food and medications and personally cares for animals that find themselves in difficult situations.
“There are many defenseless and confused animals that need our care,” emphasizes Yulia.
Yulia Dolhanyuk urges everyone not to remain indifferent to those in need of support and believes that together Ukrainians are capable of great deeds.
