Mobilization from 2026: street raids will be replaced by cameras and an automated system

Нові технології для військової мобілізації: відеоспостереження та автоматизація замість рейдів на вулицях.

Changes in the mobilization format in Ukraine

In 2026, the format of mobilization in Ukraine will change, moving from street raids to digital control processes. According to the new regulations, military territorial recruitment centers (TCK) will no longer stop vehicles on the streets to check military registration documents. These functions will be transferred to the National Police, the National Guard, and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

Automation of road control

The road control system will become automated. Surveillance cameras will be able to read vehicle license plates in real time. The collected data will be verified against the 'Oberih' registry. In the event that the vehicle owner is found to be a violator, a signal will be sent to the nearest police patrol. Additionally, if the information in the 'Reserve+' application is not updated, the police will have the authority to act on site.

The new system also includes measures that may involve:

  • fines;
  • temporary restriction of the right to drive a vehicle;
  • administrative detention for bringing a person in for data verification.

These changes will undoubtedly significantly influence the mobilization process in the country, simplifying monitoring compliance with legislation.

The introduction of a new mobilization system in Ukraine indicates a desire to modernize the military structure and adapt it to modern technologies. The automation of road control processes may reduce the burden on law enforcement agencies and increase the efficiency of detecting violators. It may also contribute to improving public safety and reducing instances of corruption related to document checks on the streets.
