The Government's spokesman Daniel Voda reported that the operation of the HaiTV application and website, which broadcast prohibited Russian and Belarusian TV channels, has been discontinued in Moldova. This decision was made at the request of the Broadcasting Council. According to information from NewsMaker, the ban has already been officially confirmed.
«State institutions know what to do. Close coordination, unified actions, and professionalism are necessary to protect national interests. A specific example: the HaiTV application has been blocked in the territory of Moldova», – emphasized Voda.
Voda also emphasized that official orders for the block were issued after hundreds of residents of Moldova received invitations to download HaiTV via Viber. The application itself broadcast prohibited media content from Russia and Belarus, posing a threat to information security.
