Starting July 1, monobank customers will no longer be able to recharge their cards for free via the EasyPay terminal network. The bank has already begun notifying users about the change in terms, while no official statements from monobank or EasyPay have been published yet. This is reported by Ukrainian Wall.

What will incur a fee

Free recharging of monobank cards through EasyPay terminals has been in effect since 2023 due to special agreements between the bank and the payment network.

Starting July 1, this option will no longer be available. According to information received by users in the monobank app, a commission will be charged for cash deposits through EasyPay.

The standard fee for the EasyPay network is 1% of the replenishment amount plus 5 UAH, however, the customer service of monobank clarified that the final amount of the commission is determined by the payment service itself.

Which recharging methods remain free

At the same time, EasyPay terminals have been removed from the list of recommended cash replenishment points in the monobank app.

Instead, customers are offered to use:

  • monobox terminals;

  • City24 network;

  • abank terminals.

Currently, these methods of recharging cards remain commission-free.

Changes occur after NBU inspections

In May 2026, the National Bank of Ukraine fined the EasyPay and City24 terminal networks 135 million UAH each. After this, the regulator also announced its intention to strengthen financial monitoring of operations carried out through self-service payment terminals.

At the same time, there has been no official connection reported between these decisions and the return of commissions for reloading monobank cards.

It should be noted that starting June 1, 2026, Ukrainian banks implemented new rules for cash withdrawals. In particular, PrivatBank set a withdrawal limit of 20,000 UAH per day through ATMs.
