The Ministry of Internal Affairs has released a new app for calling emergency services called 112. You no longer need to call the police, ambulance, rescuers or gas service separately - it can all be done with just one app. This is especially convenient in cases of lack of mobile network access when there is internet access.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Leonid Tyymchenko urged Ukrainians to help their relatives and elderly people install the 112 app, especially those living in small towns. Now, in case of an emergency, one can quickly call the 112 hotline via mobile network or Wi-Fi.
“I urge you to help install the 112 app for your relatives, elderly people or those living in small towns. If there is no mobile network, provided there is internet access, you can call the 112 service using a smartphone,” Tyymchenko urged.
The main principle of the app's operation is to simplify calling for help: the user simply presses the call button, provides the required information, and the operator decides which services need to be dispatched to the scene - whether it's the police, ambulance, rescuers, or gas service.
We advise all smartphone users to install the 112 app for quick and efficient assistance in emergencies.
