Russia shows no desire to retreat from its initial war goals, namely the destruction of Ukraine as a state.

In particular, this is evidenced by the statements of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov. This was announced at a briefing by the spokesman of the German Foreign Ministry, Christoph Burger, as reported by Ukrinform.

Burger stated that Russia's intentions should not be forgotten, which is why Germany and its allies continue to support Ukraine and do not plan to reduce aid.

The representative of the German agency emphasized that Berlin provides diplomatic support to Ukraine's efforts to seek peace through various channels. He mentioned the work to hold accountable those guilty of war crimes.

The Foreign Minister of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, issued another absurdity about the aggressor country's desire to 'denazify' and 'demilitarize' Ukraine.

He also complained that the West continues to support Ukraine in its struggle against Russian aggression. Such statements by Lavrov may indicate intentions to push the international community towards negotiations on Moscow's terms. This was reported by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) in a new report.

Analysts noted that Russia's demands for 'demilitarization' are aimed at depriving Ukraine of the ability to resist further attacks by the occupiers, while the demands for 'denazification' are equivalent to calls for a change of government in Ukraine.
