Russia evacuated 50 civilians from Sumy region: Ukraine demands the return of hostages

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha demands the return of 50 civilians who were taken by Russia from the border village of Hrabovske in Sumy region. These people, mostly elderly women, were kidnapped by Russian military. This was reported by the minister on social media.



Sybiha emphasized that Ukraine needs a genuine, lasting peace alongside Russia, and called on the international community to join the demand for the release of Ukrainian civilians.



He also compared Russia's actions to those of terrorist groups, stressing the seriousness of the situation and calling on everyone to join the demand for the release of hostages


According to preliminary information, Russian military illegally detained peaceful residents of the village of Hrabovske, holding them without access to communication and proper conditions, after which they were taken to Russia.



The situation demonstrates a threat to peaceful residents and requires a reaction from the international community.
