The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, stated that strikes on the Russian energy infrastructure are already affecting the negotiation process and can change Moscow's rhetoric. According to him, at the next negotiations, Ukraine may hear 'a lot of new things' from the Russians. This is reported by Ukrinform.
Kyrylo Budanov's statements about the negotiations: what to expect from the Russian Federation
During a briefing at the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov confirmed that attacks on oil facilities in Russia have a direct impact on the negotiation dynamics.
'They definitely have an impact. This is obvious'
At the same time, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine noted that the question of changing the position of the Russian Federation remains open. According to him, the results of such influence still need to be evaluated.
Strikes on Russian oil terminals: how it affects Ukraine's position
Budanov emphasized that strikes on Russian oil terminals enhance Ukraine's negotiation capabilities. He stressed that the state must use all tools to strengthen its position.
'At the next negotiations with them, I think we will hear a lot of new things. In any case, this significantly strengthens our position and does not make it, as they say, weak'
He also added that all actions aimed at achieving victory are justified.
According to Ukrainian official sources, on the night of April 7, the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck the 'Ust-Luga Oil' oil terminal in the Leningrad region of Russia. Earlier, on April 6, drones from the 'Alpha' special operations center of the SBU, together with other defense forces units, attacked the 'Sheskharis' terminal in the port of Novorossiysk.
Such operations have become part of the strategy to pressure the Russian infrastructure, which may affect the positions of the parties in future negotiations.
Recall that Kyrylo Budanov emphasized the importance of the housing issue for the economic recovery of Ukraine during the First Forum on Affordable Mortgages. He noted that the eOselya program has already helped over 24 thousand families obtain housing, but this is not enough to meet the urgent needs of citizens.
