Russia attacked Odesa region with missiles and drones: how they are restoring ports and energy

On the night of December 13, Russian forces launched drone and missile attacks on the Odesa region, targeting port and energy facilities. To address the aftermath of these attacks, Deputy Ministers Konstantin Kovalchuk and Andriy Kashuba went to the scene.


Together with representatives of the OVA, utility workers, rescuers, and energy specialists, they held meetings to ensure the stable operation of critical facilities and restore heating and water supply in the city. Repair crews are working in an enhanced mode, switching facilities to backup power.

Moreover, meetings have been held to ensure the uninterrupted operation of seaports. The port administration is making operational decisions considering the security situation and technical capabilities to ensure the stable functioning of port services.

Elimination of the consequences of the shelling and restoration of infrastructure are carried out in coordination with the regional military administration, the port administration, the State Emergency Service, and other services, considering the safety of people and the stable operation of critical facilities.


After the attacks by Russian forces in the Odesa region, local authorities and rescuers are actively working to restore damaged facilities and ensure the uninterrupted operation of critical infrastructure, including seaports, heating, and water supply.
